Following advice from the Church of England, we are closing all our groups at St Luke's from this Sunday 22nd March 2020 until further notice.
This includes stopping meeting together for the Sunday service, though we are hoping to set up a virtual service to access remotely.
If you live in the neighbourhood of St Luke's and
need a food delivery because of self-isolating
would like more contact because you are not seeing people in person
would like others to be praying for you, or your loved ones
then please email email@example.com with your request.
Also, do let us know if you know someone else in the local community who might need practical, social or spiritual support, too.
Please do be in touch - various people in the church will be taking a lead on the different ways we can support each other, and are keen to help.
Here's a prayer for the coronavirus situation, that you might wish to pray:
Jesus Christ, you traveled through towns and villages “curing every
disease and illness.”
At your command, the sick were made well.
Come to our aid now, in the midst of the global spread of the
coronavirus, that we may experience your healing love.
Heal those who are sick with the virus. May they regain their strength
and health through quality medical care.
Heal us from our fear, which prevents nations from working together
and neighbours from helping one another.
Heal us from our pride, which can make us claim invulnerability to a
disease that knows no borders.
Psalm 46 v 1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
